Approach of the Artistic Work
In her work, Borger brings up Barbie?s as a preference for designer clothes for boosting
their sales. She intensively opposes the stand of those who have a feeling that Barbie?s are there
to act as role models to women. She feels that Barbie?s are there to play a role advertisement, as
they look attractive to little girls who are yet to become mature. It is commonly known that
women should be seen and not heard. If one tends to imagine the scenario, which will be
portrayed in a gathering where both men and women will appear, then the message of Borger
will be deliberately delivered. One can obviously guess how women bodies will be marked
indifferent hairstyles, accessories, clothing, and makeup. They will spend a lot of their time
around these Barbie?s trying to compared them and hit their varied objectives. There isn?t any
reason why designers should not have these dolls within their premises for them to meet the
target of the day.
The Argument
In her argumentation, Borger wanted to portray that Barbie?s are never designed to
determine one?s life values but they are designed to meet the needs of a product. Simply they are
there for girls to dress and undress easily. Hence, all echoes why they should be important to
cloth designers as she states.
By arguing about the Barbie?s size relative to fashion, Borger is seen as if giving a
warning to those who always meet themselves under the influence of this Barbie?s. She is
warning the little girls of the circumstances they are likely to face in future as they get
